Vista SP1 Hack

Vista SP1 has yet to officially come out yet, but you can download it with this neat little trick. Oh yeah, thanks to suril89 for giving this to me.

Follow these simple instructions to install Windows Vista Service Pack One:
1. If you have older SP1 version, uninstall it.
2. Open CMD and run it as administrator. The easiest way to do this is to hit start, type in cmd, right click on cmd and hit “Run as Administrator.”
3. Copy paste these commands to CMD
a. Code:
reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\VistaSp1 /f > NUL 2>&1

b. Code:
reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\VistaSP1 /f > NUL 2>&1

c. Code:
reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\VistaSp1 /v Beta1 /t REG_SZ /d dcf99ef8-d784-414e-b411-81a910d2761d /f
4. Type “exit” and restart computer.
5. Go to Windows Update, download, and install all important updates and Restart PC, if necessary.
6. Repeat step five until you have (windows vista service pack 1 release candidate 1-build 6001,18000 date 28.01.2008) This should be the final version of Service Pack One.
